JANUARY NEWSLETTER
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Wow, has this past year flown by! It seems like just yesterday that we were saying, "I can't believe it's 2008!" Now we are saying, "I can't believe it's 2009!" We had a great year. God has done some great things in the kid's lives this year. We went to the nursing home and sang and passed out cards, put on a Christmas program for the church, and some other cool things. By the way, the kids did great in the program. We were so proud of them. They practiced so hard and pulled off a great performance. There will be many opportunities in this year as well. We're very excited to see what things will happen this year and what it will open up in the children's lives.
BOZ THE BEAR
Boz the Bear is going on a vacation. He is going on a tour of the U.S. He won't be back until March! We will definitely miss him! While he is gone, we are going to study the Fruits of the Spirit. The Fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These are found in Galatians 5:22 & 23. We have a song for every fruit. We even have a song with all of the fruits in it. I know the kids will enjoy this study. We are going to incorporate lots of games, crafts, and activites into the study to help them learn and remember them. Ask your child each week which fruit we talked about and see what they can tell you about it. You will be amazed!
VALENTINE'S DAY
Valentine's Day is just around the corner. We are planning some fun activities to teach them the importance of "loving the things you have." We plan on having a little "party" on February 15th. We will probably have some cookies and punch. We will also make some cards and play some games that relate to our Fruits of the Spirit study.
